SHORT DIVE: WHY ANXIETY HITS DIFFERENT WHEN YOU’RE A WOMAN (PART 2)
Chapters 4–8: The gut connection, the sleep loop, the nutrition chapter, the cycle-aware protocol, and the complete guide.
This is Part 2 of Why Anxiety Hits Different When You’re a Woman. If you haven’t read Part 1 yet, start there, it covers why women experience anxiety at twice the rate of men, the GABA-withdrawal mechanism behind luteal-phase anxiety, and the honest evidence hierarchy for treatment. This part is where it becomes something you can use.
Part 1 ended with the evidence hierarchy, which established that CBT and resistance training have the strongest evidence, that magnesium and omega-3s have genuinely good supporting evidence, and that most of what’s being sold in the anxiety supplement space has weaker evidence than its marketing suggests.
Part 2 is the practical half: the specific biological mechanisms of the interventions that work, and how to build them into a routine that’s actually manageable.
